Top Women

For the past thousands of years of human history, no matter Chinese or foreign, it has been interpreted from the male point of view. In history, the female figure is almost invisible, not to mention leaving a mark on history

(1) The status of traditional women
Taiwan's traditional women were attached to a framework of patriarchal society and agricultural economy. Their value and status were subject to influences of outside factors such as sexist attitudes and the function of continuing the family line.

(2) Taiwanese traditional female’s twist of fate

There was a twist of fate for the traditional women of Taiwan. They gradually cast off the shackles of tradition and changed their life’s course. They were liberated from feet binding, freeing the women from physical restrictions, regaining an agile body, giving women the freedom of action. Acquiring knowledge allowed women to read and write, to posses independent abilities, gradually walking towards society, and increased interaction with society.

(3) Demonstrating your own abilities
Women can also have an independent side, demonstrating their own abilities.  After being freed from feet binding and accepting school education, Taiwanese women are no longer the traditional women that can only be dependent on men. After entering the 1920s, many modernizing enterprises and public facilities were concentrated in this period.  Society became livelier, which allowed women to participate in more things and changed their image.  Other than the workplace, official or non-governmental women's groups have been established with the purpose of imparting new knowledge and developing skills.

We feel that the public should not discriminate against women.  This would be very unfair to women and depriving women of many rights that they should have.  Who says women are inferior then men? Why do men dominate everything, and women are subject to this injustice? Fortunately, society now almost no longer have gender stereotypes, and men and women are being treated the same. Finally, we must loudly statement: women are in fact the same as men, please do not have any gender stereotypes!
